Internet star Brett Cooper has just announced that she’s engaged to her mystery fiancé and men are sharing some hilarious reactions on Twitter.
The American political commentator and actress hosts the YouTube channel The Comments Section with Brett Cooper, produced by The Daily Wire.
Brett Cooper is engaged
Cooper took to Instagram to announce the happy news on Wednesday (October 18), sharing an adorable carousel of engagement photos.
The first sees the social media star hugging her fiancé, followed by a close-up of the glistening diamond ring.
Two more pictures reveal the 22-year-old wore a red and black floral top and he popped the question on a stunning stone castle.
“Just full of surprises this week,” she wrote in the caption. “I am so unbelievably excited to marry this man.”
Her fiancé is a mystery
The engagement came as a shock to everyone as she has always kept her dating life private, and wants it to remain this way.
Cooper addressed this on The Comments Section, saying: “I had just moved to a new city. I was suddenly a very public figure. That sounded terrifying to be dating while also being a public person.”
She thanked people for respecting her wishes and said her mystery fiancé has “no interest in being in the limelight”.
However, Brett did reveal a little bit about him, saying he’s the “most incredible and kind and brilliant and resilient” man and she’s “lucky and blessed” to have met him.
“I literally pinch myself every day. I feel like the luckiest person in the world,” she continued, adding that they share the same values and he challenges her every day.
The YouTuber also revealed that they grew up a few miles away from each other and she used to hang out with his sister.

Men are ‘distraught’
On Twitter, men are joking that their lives are over now that Brett is engaged as their dreams of being in a relationship with her are gone.
One guy hilariously wrote: “Brett Cooper just got engaged, bro. I’m overwhelmed with distraught.”
“Brett Cooper is engaged… don’t talk to me. I’m grieving,” said another.
A third person added: “Welp, Brett Cooper is engaged now. I have nothing left in this world.”
