Boyfriend 'dumps woman over inappropriate Halloween costume'
A woman on TikTok has recalled how her choice for a Halloween costume led to her new boyfriend reportedly dumping her. The video has since gone viral after she went through a timeline of the fateful night that saw the pair break up.
Halloween is a time for celebrating the spooky tradition alongside decorations, clever costumes and Trick or Treating.
However, for some, it may not always be a night of fun, laughter and ghost stories.
For one part-goer, they claimed their choice of a Halloween costume actually enraged their partner at the time. It saw them single after October 31.
Woman says her boyfriend dumped her after seeing Halloween costume
TikToker Pia Blossom took to the social media app to share the story time clip of her Halloween night out.
Despite it being a time for celebration and festivities with friends, it ended in disaster for her love life.
“It’s nearly Halloween, so I thought I would tell you about how I got dumped over a Halloween costume,” she starts the video.
Pia said: “My very new boyfriend was angling for an invite on this night out. But I was going out with two girls who were also not bringing partners. So I ignored his hints as it would have been weird.
“But when I posted that on my Instagram before I was going out, he literally texted me being like, ‘are you actually wearing that outside?’.
The boyfriend allegedly wasn’t happy with her choice of Halloween outfit.
He told her that he felt the outfit was “inappropriate” when she was at her friend’s house. This was before they were ready to leave.
She claims he then asked her to wear leggings instead of tights (pantyhose). However, she refused as the TikToker felt it would ‘ruin’ her costume.
Spontaneous decision led to disaster
Whilst enjoying herself in the nightclub with her pals, she says she meets a man dressed up as a giant egg.
After they complimented each other on their costumes, they hilariously decided to switch. The TikToker explains she placed the giant egg over her own outfit to cover herself up before taking the leotard off underneath.
She goes on to say she believed her new boyfriend would love the outfit swap as it covered up her body more.
After uploading photos onto her Instagram Stories, she missed calls from her beau as her phone was in her bag.
However, when she finally reaches him later on a call, she says he accused her of being unfaithful to get the egg costume. This is something which she denies.
After their argument, she goes on to enjoy their night out. The TikToker then went home with her pals and said they never spoke again.
She claims in the clip, her then ex-boyfriend told people they broke up over her being unfaithful on a night out.
They end the video by saying: “Somehow in his head, he had this narrative that I slept with someone for an egg costume.”
