He had a slow start to his career, especially early on when he was with the Titans of Colony High School in Ontario, California. A classic late bloomer, he was considered a two-star recruit coming out of school by rivals.com. Accepting the only offer that came his way from Utah State University, the young man played 48 games for them in total and ended with 445 tackles and 4.5 sacks. Selected by the Seattle Seahawks in Round 2 as the 47th overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, he made it to the PFWA All-Rookie Team that year. This 6-time Pro Bowler is also a member of the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team. A big hitter, he offers excellent coverage and plays aggressive when the ball is in the air.
