Depok, KompasOtomotif - Honda Gold Wing merupakan salah satu sepeda motor besar (moge) premium yang dimiliki Honda. Memiliki mesin berkubikasi 1.800cc, Gold Wing adalah salah satu dream ride bagi para biker mapan yang mencari sepeda motor dengan kapabilitas mumpuni.
Motor yang sudah diperkenalkan sejak era 70-an ini diketahui banyak beredar di kawasan Amerika Utara, Eropa Barat, Australia, dan Jepang. Di Indonesia sendiri, peredaran motor yang satu ini masih sangat terbatas. Kalaupun bisa ditemui, biasanya Gold Wing digunakan sebagai kendaraan patroli institusi kepolisian atau pengawal Presiden.
Sampai saat ini, Astra Honda Motor belum menjual Gold Wing. Salah satu pertimbangannya karena harga jual. Karena bila dipasarkan di Indonesia, akan ada beban pajak barang mewah dan tambahan lainnya yang kemungkinan bisa menyebabkan harga motor ini mencapai Rp 1 miliar.

Cukup mahal dan relatif sulitnya membeli Gold Wing ini ternyata tak membuat Ibnu Aditya habis akal. Dengan bermodalkan Rp 11 juta, biker asal Depok ini pun mencoba mengubah PCX tahun 2014 kepunyaannya agar bisa terlihat bak Gold Wing. Ibnu yang memang hobi modifikasi ini diketahui membuka usaha bengkel Restomax Moto Detailing yang dirintisnya bersama tiga sahabatnya.
Tidak hanya itu untuk proses pembuatan body custom sendiri, Ibnu dibantu oleh Danu, seorang rekannya yang merupakan pemilik bengkel DJ Custom yang bermarkas di Cigudeg, Bogor. Keduanya sama-sama anggota komunitas HPCI (Honda PCX Club Indonesia). Kebetulan, Danu juga pernah membuat body custom Gold Wing.
"Sebenarnya pas saya minta bikinin, mal (cetakan)-nya sudah tidak ada. Cuma akhirnya dia (Danu) mau bikin kembali," tutur Ibnu kepada KompasOtomotif, Jumat (12/1/2018).

Pengerjaan PCX milik Ibnu menjadi bak Gold Wing dilakukan pada sekitar awal 2016. Pengerjaanya memakan waktu sekitar satu bulan. Selain body custom, pengerjaan juga mencakup pemasangan aksesori pendukung lain, mulai speedometer digital Kitaco, windshiled Givi, serta jok Bride buatan Thailand yang sudah lengkap dengan sandaran.
Agar roda dan ban lebih cocok dengan bodi yang besar, Ibnu memasang pelek Power aksen Rose ukuran 2.15×14 di bagian depan dan 3.5×14 di bagian belakang. Kedua pelek dilapisi ban Metzeler ukuran 120/70-14 di depan dan 140/70-14 di belakang.
"Biaya keseluruhan termasuk cat ya sekitar Rp 11 jutaan," pungkas Ibnu.
