According to San Antonio police, a pub fight that erupted outside and resulted in gunshots late Friday night on the city’s Northeast Side left one man dead.
Around 11 p.m., there was a shooting at the intersection of Austin Highway and Perrin Beitel. Two males got into a fight at a bar, according to the police, and it turned into the street.
Both of the men had gunshot wounds when EMS arrived.
According to SAPD, one of the men had gunshot wounds and head trauma; he was declared dead at the site.
The 60-year-old man who was the other one was brought to the hospital in stable condition. The hospitalized man was claiming self-defense during the shooting, according to investigators at the scene.
Investigation is ongoing.
