‘Alice’ Members Profile: Why Was The K-pop Girl Group Re-Branded In 2022?

‘Alice’ is a South Korean girls’ K-pop group formed in 2017 by the Hanus company. The girl group was formally known as ‘Elris’. The ‘Elris’ K-pop girl group changes its name to ‘Alice’ on 11th April 2022. In addition to the changed group name, one of the members of ‘Alice’ also changed her stage name. Hyeseong changed her stage name to Yeonjae. The group has seven members including EJ, Bella, Chaejeong, Yeonjae, Yukyung, Sohee, and Karin. We will look at all the ‘Alice’ members profile here.

The girl group debuted on 1st June 2017 with their first EP ‘We, First’. Before this, Kim So-hee and Min Ka-rin were seen on the K-pop star 6 reality show. After joining the girl group Kim So-hee became the main vocalist and face of ‘Elris’. Just a few days after the release of ‘Elris’s’ first EP release, Kim So-hee released her first solo debut. Her solo debut track ‘Spotlight’ was released on 18th June 2017. Moreover, the idol sang the OST for the drama ‘No Bad Days’. Furthermore, she has played guest roles in dramas like ‘Dali And The Cocky Prince’, and ‘Part-Time Idol’. ‘Elris’ was originally a five-member band and was transferred under IOK company on 1st December 2021.

Sohee

Kim So-hee uses Sohee as her stage name. She is the leader, main vocalist, and face of the group. She is the only member to release a solo at the start of their group debut. Also, she was born on 31st December 1999 in Incheon, South Korea. One of her biggest achievements is that she secured second place in the reality show ‘K-pop star 6’. Moreover, her first-ever interview was with the global star Psy as a curator. Furthermore, the idol has an outgoing personality, and her hobbies are watching dramas and shopping.

EJ

Kim Eun Ji famously known as EJ of the ‘Alice’ girl group is the lead rapper and vocalist of the group. She was born on 13th August 1997. Also, she is given the nickname ‘Baby Cheetah’ by her fans. Moreover, she has trained under the STL entertainment and joined ‘Alice’ in 2020. She was one of the two members who joined the group last.

Bella

This idol was born in Incheon, South Korea, and made a name for herself as the lead vocalist of the ‘Alice group. She has been part of the group since the beginning and received the stage name Bella from the agency. Her stage name means beautiful girl. Similar to many anime fans, Bella also likes to watch anime. Chaejeong

The idol Chaejeong is the second singer to join the group in 2020 along with EJ. She is the main dancer of the group. Also, she holds the position of rapper and vocalist in the group.
