Macaulay Carson Culkin was born on 26th August 1980 in New York, USA and is the son of former actor Cornelius ‘Kit’ Culkin and his mother is Patricia Brentrup. Culkin has 2 brothers named Kieran and Rory. He also had a sister named Dakota, who passed away in 2008.
Brenda Julietta Song was born on 27t March 1988 in California, USA. Her father is of Hmong heritage and her mother of Thai heritage. She has 2 brothers who are both younger than her named Timmy and Nathan.
A timeline of their relationship
Early 2010s – Before Culkin and Song got together, the two both dated some high profile stars. Notably, Macaulay’s relationship with Mila Kunis which for lasted 9 years until 2011 and Songs relationship with Trace Cyrus. Cyrus and Song were engaged but broke it off in 2012.
2017 – Culkin and Song first met in 2017, on the set of Seth Greens movie ‘Changeland’ (2019). The couple has been together since. Before it was made public that the two were in a relationship they were snapped together on a few occasions. They went public later that same year.
2018 – Only a year after their relationship went public, Culkin announced that the couple were already trying for their first child together. This news was announced on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast.
2019 – The couple attended an event called ‘CatCon’ in California and got a cat together the same year. The cat’s name is ‘Santa Claws’.
2020 – Culkin mentions in an interview with Esquire, he and Song want to have a child and they are both still trying.
2021 – 5th April, Song gives birth to their first child. A son who they named after Culkin’s late sister, Dakota, who died in 2008 in a car accident. Their son’s full name is Dakota Song Culkin.
Culkin and Song’s careers
Both Culkin and Song, are most well known for their acting careers where they started off as child actors. They both met on the set of ‘Changeland’ (2019) through roles in the film. We look at their past work that led to a life of fame and eventually led to one another.
Culkin garnered the attention of media and fans all over the world at a young age when he played the role of Kevin McCallister in ‘Home Alone’ (1990). She made guest appearances on Disney programmes but is most well known for her work as London Tipton in ‘The Suite Life of Zack & Cody’ (2005-2008).
